  •  Which doesn't even make sense to why (4+ / 0-)

they ousted him, considering he put them in place to win those elections in 2010.  I guess they really don't like minorities, even in their own party.

    •  It's a minstrel show (7+ / 0-)

They used Steele.  They never wanted to appeal to minority voters.  They wanted to show the white people in their party who may or may not have a conscious that they were "trying" to appeal to minorities.  Policies or platforms did not change.  In fact they became worse.

"Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me--and I welcome their hatred." Franklin D. Roosevelt

He's actually says interesting and cogent things, unlike the shucking and jiving he was doing as RNC chair. That was disgusting to watch.

I'm also appreciative of Steve Schmidt's role on MSNBC.  A thankless job for him, but I really appreciate his perspective in explaining the Republican mindset.

        •  Schmidt and Steele (0+ / 0-)

are awesome.  I couldn't stand Steele as RNC chair; now as just a regular cogent Republican he makes really good points.  The party needs more Steve Schmidts and Michael Steeles if it wants to avoid becoming the next Whig party.
