    Like a "Natural Disaster" response?

    A lot of those folks actually believed the "world was going to end" - maybe there was just a run on gas?

    Also, refineries in NJ were hit, gasoline needed to be drawn from other refineries to compensate - altering supplies.

    I wouldn't read too much into it otherwise.

    If not us ... who? If not here ... where? If not now ... when?

      I'd agree with you - please note that I diligently searched for a reason for the dramatic price spike. When it's a run on gas, or a refinery fire (the Wynnewood refinery goes up in flames every couple of years), or other disaster, there is a spike, but it's not much and it incrementally rises.

      When it's political, it spikes to the maximum allowed, then drops by the same amount when the political point has been made.

      That may not happen in other areas, but I've watched it happen here for nearly a decade.

      I am not "reading too much into it", I am reporting my due diligent research.
