    well, that's Premium, cause the thing knocks at lower octane... big ol' heavy '97 pickup, WITH pickup, which is nice on our occasional freeway forays... mostly we got something we could haul stuff in. it gets pretty disgusting mileage.

    anyway, last fill-up, at Costco, was $4.15 on Oct 12, premium. at least we've whittled the driving down to where we only need one fill-up a month (22-25 gal/ca. $90)

      myself, but there was a big refinery fire a couple months ago down in CA... I think it was a motor-oil recycling facility, but any excuse will do, eh?

      •  Every time the Wynnewood Refinery (0+ / 0-)

        burns down/explodes, local gas prices skyrocket for a couple of months to pay for the repairs.  We're due for another Wynnewood Refinery fire any week now.
