...meaning he has to cave, or it will be his fault if we go back into recession.

After all, he is the reasonable one.

Sounds like the narrative needs to change or the situation never will.

This is like the govt shutdown, only we will be blamed this time.

    •  CNN is Fox lite (8+ / 0-)

On Fox Steve Doocy and company said they hoped Obama learned from Tuesday night that Americans are tired of his politics and his style. Daily Show and SNL writers don't even have to write stuff anymore...

But, they are more mainstream than fox.  Local news ends to mirror cnn more than nbc.

My point is we will lose the argument if everyone expects O to adopt the right wings demands because the right wing is pshyco and won't stop pulling the trigger in Russian roulette.

him elected. The mainstream media don't matter. WE DO!
Kossacks = over 300, 000. The grassroots and netroots worked asses off for months getting him elected, giving him a clear majority in the Senate.

We need to remind him that WE are here to collect. The WH and our congress critters need to hear from us.

As kovie suggested,  Occupy their offices. Angie in Washington suggested several things using the DKos group Citizen Lobbyist.

The President, all the re-elected and newly elected critters owe us. time to remind them.

Kerry contact page on my favories bar, two emails a day, one for him to thank Majority Leader Reid for stating that Social Security is off the table, another to tell-tell, not ask-President Obama not to compromise.

I did send another email to Kerry. If he takes SOS, MA will need to have a special election to replace him. I'd rather not have another election just now!

2012-2016 President Obama, Vice President Biden, Senator Warren. For a LIFETIME, federal judges. Get the filibuster changed. Harry, the people have spoken. To all Democrats: do not reach across the aisle, your hand will get cut off. Steamroll.

    •  There's more than one way to compromise... (1+ / 0-)

...unfortunately, what most of the beltway pundits mean by "compromise" is "give the Republicans what they want" -- massive budget cuts offset by new revenue that is generated by taking away tax loopholes that benefit lower and middle income people.

That, needless to say, is "compromise" that Democrats should reject.

Reasonable compromise, on the other hand, could involve phasing in expiration of tax cuts on the wealthy.  For example, tax cuts on those making over $1 million could expire next year, then for those making between $500,000 and $999,999 the year after, and those making between $250,000 and $499,999 the year after that.  That's not the only possibility, but it is an example of the sort of thing that the President could accept in order to let Republicans claim something...

CNN and the rest of the media did everything they could to prop up Romney after the first debate, and they failed miserably. Voters weren't buying the crap sandwich that they were selling.

Some things just aren't that complicated, folks. Tax cuts for the rich: BAD. Tax cuts for the rest of us: GOOD. If Obama and the Democrats take that message to the people, they'll win.

There's no such thing as a moderate Republican.
