  •   Repubs Want To Suppress The Votes of White Women? (1+ / 0-)

I doubt that! After all, 56% of White women voted for (R)money, after only 53% of White women voted for PaleInsanity in 2008.

And it wasn't just in teh South. CA(49%), MD(52%), CO (53%), OH(53%), MI(53%), PA(54%), NJ(58%). These are the percentages of the White women vote that (R)money won in states Obama won. In the two Southern states Obama won, VA and FL, (R)money won (59%) and (58%), respectively, of the White woman vote. Excluding CA, that's a total of 129 Electoral College votes - more than enough to flip the election to (R)money.

But White women are not the only group that the RepubliKlans improved their performance with: 51% of Whites 18-29 y.o. voted for (R)money. In 2008, 54% of them voted for Obama.

As Obama won 60% of the 18 - 29 y.o. vote, and 55% of women, the difference b/t how Whites and non-Whites in these two groups vote should be obvious to even White Liberal/Progressives who still want to believe the RepubliKlans are a party that appeals to only Old Pale Southern Males.

So, obviously, the Repubs would be unwise to suppress the vote of either White women or White youth. After losing the election though winning 59% of the White vote, Repubs will have to think twice about suppressing their base.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Republican Party.
