  •  It would be nice to ID which republicans (11+ / 0-)

    in the house are in swing districts.

    They could be pressured through social media, e-mails and faxes to their offices by voters in their district, and letters to the editor to support democratic legislation.

    Yes, I know that the tea party & the right wing republicans forced everyone to get in line but this was before seeing the defeat of candidates who were viewed as just too conservative by members of their districts.  

    My thinking is that if their fear of losing the general election because they were too extreme for the district outweighs their fear of a tea party challenge in the primary, they may moderate to appeal to independent voters in their districts.

    And without a majority in the house, the only way we will get our legislation enacted is with a handful of house republicans votes for our ideas.
