what's significant about Obama winning every county in Vermont is that I live in Caledonia County. Here's a snippet from our hard-right paper's post election op-ed:

And though we still don't like him as president, we have to applaud the politically masterful and innovative way Obama pieced together disparate voting blocks (sic) - single women, minorities, homosexuals, union members and social liberals - to win re-election....At the state level we're proud to see that the Kingdom remains the state's last vestige of libertarianism. Republicans didn't win very much in the Green Mountain state but they did better in Orleans, Caledonia and Essex Counties than they did everywhere else. Based on the fact that St. Johnsbury is sending a pair of Democrats to the House for the first time ever, we suspect it won't be long before even Kingdom voters sacrifice the principle of self-reliance for the promise of a government handout.
    Emphasis mine.

    Waa waa waa waa waa.

    And congratulations, Michelle.

She won with a killer ground game against a Republican incumbent who....well, the poor old guy was just barely running. He threw up a few yard signs and called it solved.

Many of us think he really didn't care one way or the other if he went back to Montpelier.

Many in the Northeast Kingdom feel that Montpelier is unresponsive to their concerns.  I keep telling them, "Send Democrats there and watch what happens."

They really believe that you, I, and our neighbors shouldn't own the transportation infrastructure, but that we should subsidize Mitt Romney's horse's clothes.
