  •  Did Romney have enough $ to get his msg out? (4+ / 0-)

I've read that Romney's campaign was short of money after the supposedly unexpectedly protracted primary battle. This thinking has it that the Obama campaign had the money needed to define Romney for the electorate while Romney's campaign was relatively poor and silent.

Really? Romney failed to get his message out? Regardless of how much money he had - and he had lots & lots of it - the premise of the first paragraph is that Romney - and the other Republicans who lost - failed to get out their message.

I agree with you, Sacred. They got their message out. And motivated people to vote who disagreed with that message.

There were plenty of people voting affirmatively for Obama. And there were people voting against Romney - and the Republican story. I was a mix of both. I figured Obama had delivered enough to deserve a second term. But the Republican message is so toxic these days that there was never one moment I considered voting for a Republican.
