    They are going to try to drive wedges among the groups in the coalition that supported the President. Since they refuse to come up with more sane and humane policies, they're going to do what they always do: wedge politics.

    So when we see stupid ass stories a few weeks before an election like AP's internet poll telling us 'most of the country doesn't like black people' or that black people won't vote for the President because of his support of gay marriage, we need to see it in the context of the only means available to the Republican party to win: tearing us apart.

    We're not going to let them, but we should be mindful they are going try their damndest to peel away numbers from the coalition that wins elections in the 21st century.

    I expect their think tanks and mouthpieces to start talking about really progressive-sounding immigration reform now that they have real-world evidence that the South alone will never again be their primary path to national victory.
