    parables to propaganda.

I'm not sure the analogy holds.

    •  Wanna rethink that one? (5+ / 0-)

"Worship me because I have super-duper magical powers and I created everything all by myself and besides if you don't, I'll make sure you suffer excruciating torture for all eternity."  That's not propaganda?

If you don't do this, then that will happen....

The holy trinity of religion.  Add money, misogyny, stir in bigotry, fear of the unknown, & racism, and you've got your modern reichwingnut religico ready to scream in your face as they try to get elected representatives to change laws according to their particular religious beliefs based on punishing the innocent on the one hand and on the other they're screaming that anyone who disagrees with them or is demanding their own personal autonomy is trying to take away their religious freedom.

[It's okay if they scream at everyone else, but they won't put up with anyone whispering they want their own rights respected, not just have to dish out respect to them and their pathetic demands for taking over the government and instituting a fascist theocracy - corporations + government + religion.]

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
