    the nitty gritty.

    Take the railroad tycoon in "Atlas Shrugged." It never seems to occur to him and his Galtian cohorts that no matter how superior a formula for steel is, the ore still has to be mined, smelted, cast. The rails have to be transported to where the line is being laid. The actual tracks have to be laid. The locomotive must be built.

    A thousand different types of workers are involved in creating a working railroad. To Galtians, the contributions of these workers would seem to be.....nothing.  

    Freedom has two enemies: Those who want to control everyone around them...and those who feel no need to control themselves.
