      um, "bipartisan compromises" today.
Cramer was on to blat out the "narrative" from Wall Street.
I don't see the gop obstructionists having the strength they had before.
They lost several members that were the most egregious, and it will be a lot easier for Boehner to get a few gopers to go along with the Dems for a deal than it will be to get his caucus to stick together to squash a deal and thereby drive us over the (fictional) cliff. Now that Obama has been re-elected there is decidedly less reason for them to continue the obstruction.

Even if the markets drop because of events in Europe it will have a psychological effect favoring a deal.

Krystol has already come out as caving on letting the taxes go back up for the wealthy, and I'm guessing he won't be the last.

You can't make this stuff up.

he's still drunk after the other night :)

i hope i'm wrong but i think cantor & the rest of the teabagger crazies are going to hang tuff & double-down, counting on the prez & the d's to blink & cave on extending the bush tax cuts or agreeing to hike the age for medicare &/or cutting ss benies & i think boehner will wimp out & go along with them.  he doesn't strike me as much of a fighter.
