  •  Look at the Tea Party Caucus list... (0+ / 0-)

He did not join. (Neither did Pat Toomey, another 2010 Republican known for Tea Party policies.)

    •  You're right---I checked Wikipedia. (0+ / 0-)

How typically sleazy of RoJo----he, along with Marco Rubio and Pat Toomey declined to join the TP Caucus.  Doesn't mean he doesn't subscribe to their agenda and/or values, though.  Given the cowardly campaign he ran to get elected here in WI, his duplicity in terms of the TP Caucus is not unexpected.  He made is clear from his Victory Speech that he does not represent anyone who did not vote for him.  What a Prince of a guy!

...but for different reasons. Rubio declined because he's clearly a guy with national ambitions and doesn't want to be beholden to the teabaggers or burdened with their baggae.

Johnson and Toomey, on the other hand, are blue state senators who will be up for reelection in 2016 in a Presidential election year, which guarantee high Dem turnout in their states. They're already facing steep uphill reelection climbs without having "Tea Party Caucus member" hanging around their necks.
