  •  Wrong. This is the spin that owners want (5+ / 0-)

I love hockey and the players are fairly compensated for the intensity they face relative to other professional athletes.  There are VERY few that make it to the NHL. The owners are billionaire assholes who already have hundreds of times more money than they can spend in their obscene lifetimes.  They dont give a shit about the players, the fans and all the others by the hundreds of thousands who depend on this seasonal income. Typical Rmoneyites.  How do you deal with people who have no soul and no God except money?

either. And I've felt that way LONG before this current lockout so the "spin" is lost on me.

I love the game. I like the athelets and I want to see them get their due, but I haven't been able to stomach the politics since the days of Alan Eagleson.

has absolutely no say in anything.  They are meaningless in this process.

          •  Sounds like they need to get their asses in gear (0+ / 0-)

similar to when the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and a tidal wave of fan outrage threatened to shut down the NFL offices so they relented and gave Cleveland a new team . . ..

Of course, since the NHL is already shut, so that might not work quite as well, but whatever, I'm sure somebody more creative than myself could think of * something * . . ..
