    ...but that doesn't really change my larger point—which is that if top-tier professional hockey exists in a given place, it's going to take in millions of dollars. I'd rather that go to the players who fans like me go to see, than to the owners.

      what a horrible smear on your good name!!

      Also, I agree with you that the lower on the food chain the $$s go (e.g., to the millionaire players vs. billionaire owners) that's a good thing.

      But my point is that the lockout exacerbates this effect even more, in a good way - i.e., that the entertainment $$s trickle down to an even lower level.
