    than the blue states, at least in the East. So Romney had a bunch of states in the bag before New England weighed in.

    I don't think that this is accidental. The red states close early, which makes it harder for working people to vote, which benefits which party?

      sitting in the county library levy office waiting to close (I was office manager and had to wait to make sure none of our polling place people had issues), logged on to Daily Kos and listening to people freak out as the first state — was it West Virginia? — was called for McCain, people convincing themselves thereby that McCain had it in the bag. Some people here freak out too easily. I am glad I had no access to any returns this year until i got home at 3:30 a.m. — and went straight to bed.
