    And I generally avoid Twitter, but I learned from the Sandy outages that it's a good idea to have an account for local and breaking news.  That or Facebook, as someone else suggested -- it's a little less frustrating when you know what's going on.

    Huge relief to have the site come back up ... I was jonesing for my post-work kostime too!

      You do get some info there. They also report on other sites, apparently.
