    coming from the campaign; I actually wondered whether it was intentional knowing how many were likely to get vandalized before the election.

      by the time either candidate got at all serious about PA, the storm was ripping through the area anyway, so it was only in the last week of the campaign that there were many signs up for either candidate.

        but the signs just weren't coming. Perhaps as you suggest priority was given to tougher states.

          in 2008 PA was really engaged, lots of ads and candidate visits the whole campaign. 2012 was very quiet until the end of the campaign, and even then it was just ads, and some phone calls. On our side, there was a visit from Bill Clinton.

          Turnout was much reduced in the state, though it was still pretty high in this area as it usually is for Presidential elections.
