  •  Thanks, yes, I agree 4CasandChio. The right has (5+ / 0-)

discovered that if they take their dubious lies, ideology, and spin and just repeat it over and over again, the media will pass it on, without comment or "reality control" and eventually, the entire public, even Democrats, will start to buy into it.

When the reality is often that academic economics, or mainstream Democrats just assume that their tripe is so obviously garbage that we do not need to comment.

But this is an error, as we learned to late with Micheal Dukakis and the swiftboating of John Kerry.

What I like about this article is was real simple and focused on this core idea -- what are economy needs now is more jobs, not even less government spending.

I almost added in a review of Macro-economics  GDP = Consumer Demand + Business Investment + Government Spending    reminding folks that if consumer demand is low due to lower real wages, and unemployment, and therefore businesses see insufficient profit potential to invest the only way at is a boost,, not reduction, in government spending.

But, then figured I, or others could do that later.  Even when I find interesting reports like this, I've discovered through trial and error that if I try to much, and they get to long few people read them.

Even this one ended up about twice too long from what appears to be the ideal.

Thanks for your comment.  And, please remember you have the lifetime Super Gold Frequent Commenters Card giving you carte blanc in my posts.  :-)

    •  Far too many Dems DO buy into austerity (12+ / 0-)

That's half the problem here.  I quote Cheney about as often as I watch Faux News, but his "deficits don't matter" line is worth recalling here.

I wonder if the president has studied what happened in FDR's 2d term when austerity was tried then.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?

I think you do a very good job in walking the line between presenting a ton of good information in an organized way versus an exhaustive review that is tough to get through.

I am amazed at your ability to get great quality diaries out several times a day.

I know it takes a lot of work, it really is appreciated.

        some different hobbies.

But, I made a commitment to pull all the stops to help elect President Obama and other Democrats.  But, now I'm stuck in a pattern I'm finding difficult to stop, as I'm starting to figure out the patterns for doing this.  I like puzzles.

But, having four rec'd posts in a row, (or was it 4 out of 5) has sort of boxed me in.  Cuz I now have accumulated about a dozen fun, less significant potential posts on star pictures, a break through in severed spinal nerves, producing liquid fuels from garbage, etc, that are going to seem trivial by comparison and not worth hamming it up to the extent I did these last four.  Or, I could do it, but it would seem silly, just when I've almost convinced folks I'm a potentially serious writer.

This is one reason I hate this rule that we can only have one UID.  Because if I had another called Mutt, or Mixedbreed, I could whip off about six quickies and get my total post count up to 660 which would get me on the first page of the "most prolific authors" list which had been my goal for the last year by the election when I was then going to stop writing.

I could do in in a week or two if I didn't care about my image, which I shouldn't since I'm anonymous. But it is funny in a weird way the extent to which my ego and vanity works its way so quickly back into fictitious anonymous identities that I originally created to escape from.

So, I think I'll wait until later this evening when fewer are looking and blast out a series of quick ones.
