  •  Eerie. Totally natural (23+ / 0-)

Saw that.  There is something pathological about a person who can demonstrate such natural "sensitivity" and "concern" for the average customer . . . when the same person (behind closed doors, where the "inner Republican comes out) threatened to hold the public hostage yesterday like a toddler wanting his sucker.

BUT - - unlike past times, I really feel that this egotistical, 1% reaction to the tax question is going to rise up and bite them in the ass.

As Gov. Romney stated so correctly, people LIKE the ACA for lots of reasons, mostly they like being able to go to a doctor if they are ill and get continuous care.  And, people know that the ACA is linked to having a tax base capable of supporting it.

These CEOs and their RepubliKan lapdogs such as the Papa John's guy, Denny's and Aetna that go public with plans to have a temper tantrum are totally misreading the public right now.  They must believe that people will blame Obama for their surcharge on their GrandSlam breakfast, or more expensive pizza's or laying off Aetna workers.

NOPE, no longer, the election showed that people know damn well how the 1% manipulate issues to their benefit and are sick of it.  The Dems INCREASED their Senate presence and every new dem senator was more progressive than whom they replaced, its not an accident, people want the 1% checked by the Government instead of running roughshod for 30 years.

If Wall Street, 1%, and Republikans hold the country hostage again for the rich's 3% tax raise, it will simply result in far more harsh actions by dems and an even more lopsided election in 2014.  These titans are not reading the mood on the street well.

Blessed are the peacemakers, the poor, the meek and the sick. Message to Repug Fundies: "DO you really wonder "what would Jesus do?" I didn't think so.
