  •  What counts as full benefits to you? (9+ / 0-)

My husband and I both worked in restaurants for years while we got our degrees--and he did for awhile after until landing his dream job as a science teacher. My brother-in-law has worked in them for about 20 years now.

Some were good. Most were awful. It's still the reason we won't go to chain restaurants. But while the conditions were better at non-chain places, the pay and benefits sure weren't.

I don't see why we should ask tiny startups to compete on such an unfair basis against huge companies. But that's just my feeling. But maybe I'm misreading you. What  full benefits do you think a restaurant should pay?
