  •  Pssst. Cooking isn't hard, really. (5+ / 0-)

If you can read, you can follow a recipe, and therefore you can cook. DOesn't mean you'll be a great cook or that you'll enjoy it, but you WILL be able to cook.

I couldn't cook until grad school.  My roommate, who should have been a professional gourmet chef (at her house Thanksgiving opened with an antipasa, went onto a pasta course--eggplant parmesan or lasagna-- then the entree, which was a choice between trueky or Beef Wellington) explained this to me. SHe took me in hand. I am now a really good cook who makes pate from scratch,  ditto marinara sauce, and makes the best chocolate cookies  you'll ever eat.  My husband cooks really well too--possibly better than me. How do I know I can cook? The professional chef next door  told me so! And people never turn down a chance at a meal with us.

Really, it's easy. And it's better for you than fast food.

We don't do Papa John's. Ever. Because it sucks. SPent 5 years in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn and was raised by an Italian-food-loving Mom.   I can't eat bad pizza.  Pizza Slut is better, but still not good pizza.

The last time we mixed religion and politics people got burned at the stake.
