    Are you saying his costs won't increase $175k per restaurant?

    He said many restaurants don't even profit $175k per year.

    Or is he fudging the numbers?

      so unless he has 87 full time employees at every restaurant it won't cost him that much. If he does have 87 full time employees in each restaurant it would be the most over staffed Dennys ever.

      that can't be offset elsewhere, you just raise your prices. You don't just add a whatever-percent surcharge.

      Specifying this surcharge to his customers is his way of trying to make his customers mad about the ACA and whine in the most public way possible about his political disagreement with the President. If his electric rates went up 5% would he add a "electricity surcharge" to the tab? No. He would just increase the price.

      And that's assuming that health care costs would go up as much as 5%, though someone who is throwing a tantrum is likely to exaggerate.
