    Never ending.  This region never seems to learn this lesson.

    Here's my plan for peace.  Jerusalem becomes an international city under a UN protectorate.  Part of Gaza, but also parts of other middle eastern countries, become a Palestinian state, including provision for recognizing Israel's right to exist in enforceable peace treaties.

      become part of Palestine?

      The East Bank (a narrow band at that) and a bit of southern Lebanon might make sense from a historical perspective, but the displacement that would result would far outweigh any benefit.

      Jordan isn't going to move a million people and hand over some huge swath of land.
