  •  More love for Credo (5+ / 0-)

I'd been a T-Mobile customer for something like 7 years; I switched about a month ago to Credo. Absolutely no problems so far. When I signed up for Credo there was a pretty substantive coupon code (something like 'save 25% on monthly charges for your first year'), so look online to see if you can find a valid new coupon code.

Oh, and T-Mobile's customer service is indeed absolute crap. I cancelled my service two days into a new billing cycle, and they're trying to make me pay for a full month of service instead of pro-rating things. Rubbish.

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends

    •  A good thing to do when they harass you (7+ / 0-)

When I tried to cancel my AOL account (email) years ago, they tried not to let me. So I discontinued my credit card. I had done everything I was supposed to in order to cancel, and it was always prepaid monthly. I'd quit in the early part of the month, and had already paid for that month. Then they kept calling me telling me I owed a $20 cancellation fee.

One day they called and I said, "You should know that I'm recording this call." The AOL rep told me I wasn't allowed to do that. I said, "You record it, if you can record it, so can I. I'm tired of you people harassing me." The AOL rep insisted I wasn't allowed to do it. I said, "Well, I'm doing it. And I'm telling you." She hung up, and I never heard from them again.

When they're harassing you, always inform them they are being recorded. And if they say you're not allowed, just tell them, yes, you are, as long as you inform them they're being recorded.

    •  I work for CREDO ... (8+ / 0-)

... and would be happy to answer any questions you have about our services, phones, available special discount offers, etc. etc.

(I've worked in both our Politics and Marketing Departments and so am familiar with both sides of the business.  And apart from all the cool progressive stuff we do, like taking down Allen West and Joe Walsh ... and giving big grants to progressive nonprofits ... it's a great place to work.)

So feel free to drop me a note at weaston -at- ... and include your phone number if you'd like to chat over the phone.

(thanks for the support, Senor Unoball & OneGunRiot!)
