  •  I'd love to see it in Seattle BUT . . . (none)
    there's one big downcheck to Seattle, or San Francisco or Los Angeles or New York or Boston or Miami, at least for an initial Kos convention, and that is that the cities on the west coast are pretty expensive to fly to from the east coast, and vice versa. IMO a more central location would be more accessible to groups from both coasts. A transportation hub would be best. Chicago, perhaps, or maybe St. Louis.

    Perhaps when the convention gets going on a regular basis it could be rotated around the country. The Secret Masters of Fandom who run the World Science Fiction Convention divide the country into three sections and hold it in each section once every three years (or did when I was in fandom and presumably still do), and this seems like a fair arrangement to me; but I think the first run should be as accessible as possible.

    Realize that in saying this I am probably preventing myself from going, because I don't travel much and probably wouldn't be able to get to Yearly Kos unless it's in Seattle or the environs, so I'm suggesting this for the benefit of others.
