of a single four-year administration, it would be possible to accomplish either Obamacare, or impeachment hearings.

It would be interesting to know her thoughts on putting the Bush criminals away now - though of course as we can see today, following Citizens United, these include scores of major American corporations.

(and I subscribe to it) that putting the Republicans on defense from Day One would have made it easier to enact Democratic legislation like the ACA, since the Republicans would have been desperate to rehabilitate themselves in the eyes of a condemning public. (Witness their contortions right now to paint themselves as a party that doesn't hate women and minorities.)

Instead, what the public heard from our president was that Republicans were men and women of good will who were working toward the same goals the rest of us were, and that the points of contention were merely about which party had the best ideas for getting us there.

This framing was a huge and costly blunder, which contributed to the shellacking we took in 2010.

and its sources only began to be news in the last month. Hard for them to be concerned with rehabilitation pre-2010 because the money supporting the criminality was miles deep. Look what it took on November 6 to make them merely begin to realize they weren't the well-clothed permanent emperors of benefits they considered they had purchased for cash on the barrelhead.
