  •  How come Sandy is not cited (19+ / 0-)

as taking away votes from President Obama, since it hit areas that typically pro-Democratic? Why is Sandy only responsible for taking votes away from Mitt, as if all his potential voters are single-issue voters.

'I agree with him on the budget, forced birth legislation, his Bain experience and everything else, but the President sure looks presidential with Gov. Christie. Therefore I must vote for President Obama, who I disagree with on everything except how he looked during Sandy.'

It's just not a credible explaation. While voters may have cited Sandy as a contributing factor, they certainly did not cite it as the only factor.

The auto bailout, the Jeep-to-China lie, turning Medicare to couponcare and the tag team ass-kicking by VP Biden and the President also were key to Obama/Biden's electoral landslide and nearly 4 million popular vote mandate.

The enthusiasm gap of Republican voters staying home was not due to Sandy, but a perfect storm GOP fail in messaging, candidate, platform and hideous comments from down ticket candidates.

The choice of our lifetime: Mitt Romney, It Takes A Pillage or President Barack Obama, Forward Together.
