  •  So, as a person who actually (11+ / 0-)

gets around to working on her projects and determinedly completes them, you can answer a question: does this in any way decrease the size of the "cloud" of potential projects out there that one desires to someday complete?

Having been "working on" a couple of things for eons, I'm beginning to suspect that my glacial rate of project completion is not the chief culprit in the size of that cloud, and that all of us have eyes bigger than our {whatever stands in for "stomachs" in this case}.

Also, congrats on finishing all those quilts! That was quite a labor of love!

    •  Eyes bigger than our capacities, yes. (11+ / 0-)

I DO finish stuff, and I'm also fairly fast when my attention span allows for it. I have a few of old, unfinished projects hanging, waiting for me, but ... only a few ... could count on one hand, I think.

As to "want to" projects, I don't tend to line up things very far into the future. All those things I listed above will actually get done, and likely by the end of January. After that... I got nothin'.

Of course I have plenty of stash and some that is "intended" for particular projects, but I don't worry about it a lot.
