    Can't the pressure on them lead to these franchises having to quit being so creepy?

      agreement to know. Some of the parents have put out statements to let everyone know they don't support the actions, but I don't know if they have any legal remedies.

      Franchisee's have a lot of latitude as long as they aren't doing major harm to the brand as a whole.  Of course an effective national boycott of the brand could cause bring the franchisee's into line.  So I'm not exactly sure about the unfairness of a broad brush.  

      The think is that so far I don't shop at any of the places involved so it's kinda hard to boycott them.
