  •  It was death by a thousand cuts for GOP (7+ / 0-)

It was Hispanics, African-Americans, women, Muslims, Asians, LGBT. It was voter suppression, abortion rights, contraception, immigration, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, taxes, unemployment benefits, disaster aid, etc.,etc, etc.

    •  "morality" (12+ / 0-)

Several times in the past few days I have heard conservatives say that if they were to change their party to reflect what the voters are telling them, they would lose the moral high ground that they feel their social policies entitle them to.  They essentially think they are bold and brave to defend what amounts to bigotry.

I find it shocking to think that they believe they have "moral high ground" because they essentially believe they are better than others, that they protect the sanctity of life for the unborn (but not for their mothers), the sanctity of marriage (but not for gays), the right to personal liberty (but not for those of different skin color or ideology).

Basically, they do not get what America is about, and they think they are the real America.  Sad and shameful.
