  •  $190 a month is a relative bargain... (2+ / 0-)

    The last time I asked, Blue Shield quoted me $800 a month for individual coverage, and literally a $10,000/yr deductible level below which I was responsible for EVERY expense.

    They wanted me to pay them $9,600/yr in premiums for the privilege of me covering the first $10,000/yr of my own healthcare.

    {shaking my head, still}

    Hopefully your coverage actually COVERS you...

    For a better America, vote the GOP out of office whenever and wherever possible and as soon (and as often) as possible!

    •  I'm sorry for you . . I would have to go without (0+ / 0-)

      insurance in that situation.  And if my past 30 years were anything to go by - that would be a perfectly reasonable thing to do considering I don't spend for healthcare anywhere near what my insurance premium is much less that outrageous amount.  But of course, it doesn't matter what happened in the last 30 years when any future day could be THE day you get a diagnosis and if only $20,000 was the extent of how much out of pocket expense you'd have, you would be way ahead of the game.  We shouldn't have to live in fear like this.

      Republicans: You can't slap the stupid out of them, and you can't smack the smart in to them.
