  •  If we are guessing, how about diabetic? (5+ / 0-)

Low glucose levels can make the brain do odd things.

The glucose level could keep dropping before the food is converted.  There are many variables and we don't really know what happened.

    •  Not that fast (8+ / 0-)

A blood sugar crash fucks you up for hours.  You don't recover in 20 minutes.  More like most of the day.

I passed out 20 years ago from low blood sugar.  I felt like shit for something like 4-6 hours.  And that was the first time.  It has happened a few times since.

Happens most often when I am eating light, have not eaten yet, and encounter high stress.  Flight-or-flight seems to rapidly drop blood sugar levels probably because high blood sugar makes you feel sluggish.  With a diabetic, that can sometimes backfire.
