i see any largeish grow operations doing it indoors.  too hard to secure fields and fields of crops.  and for these reasons -- lights, security, etc. -- i don't see the price dropping so much.

The price of marijuana we are all used to is directly supported by prohibition and aggressive enforcement. Police themselves are directly responsible for supporting the profits of traffickers.

Grower and end-stage retailers NEVER made the cash traffickers made and all the violence in Mexico is about trafficking and smuggling routes. That will die a quick death when nobody want that Mexican shit anymore.

The State taxation will, if done correctly (a tax per dollar and not some $X/per oz) won't really influence or make prices artificially high. If the State taxes it too much, the black market stays, by the way.

This $400 and $600/ounce bullshit will be over.

I don't have a clue what it will become but I'd pay $25/ounce for some killer. Plus the tax: At .25/1.00 the $25 ox would cost about $32 and that's fine. <~~PURE SPECULATION: I have no Earthly clue what it will drop to, but people expecting to still get $400 for an ounce of moderately decent weed are going to be sadly disappointed.

Plus a lot of people - like me - would learnt o grow their own.

I have NO CLUE why I should have to PAY for something I can grow myself. And no intentions.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

It is a plant.  If I choose to purchase a plant as a legal product, that's one thing, and has its own set of rules;  if however I choose to grow that plant on my property, as my property, that's quite different.

If the first is legal but the second is not, then nothing has been legalized;  a new market has been created, that's all, and it comes with its own legal modifiers to the playing field.  That's the big-money game, and while I may not be able to keep them out of the picture, I will do everything I can to prevent them from 'modifying' my participations for their benefit.
