  •  I love Fudge's comments, but (15+ / 0-)

Schakowsky said this, and it cuts right to the heart of the matter:

I’ve asked the question of the intelligence committee…would anything have been different if the intelligence had been completely different in the beginning..would there have been different actions and the answer was no…so I’m a bit confused  about the whole hoo-ha-ha about this Benghazi situation other than that we all agree it was a tragedy that we had the loss of life.
And there it is.  No consequence, had the information been more accurate.  Fact is, the republicans started this nonsense in the midst of an international incident that was still being investigated.  Issa, in his lip-smacking zeal, released the names of people still on the ground in Benghazi, working for us, whose lives he put at risk.  (I didn't hear anyone question his competence or intelligence... maybe because there's no doubt he's a freakin' idiot.)

Graham and McCain ought to be, at the very least, censured for their attack on Rice.

Thanks for this diary, Dee.  Hadn't caught all the statements in that wonderful press conference.
