    but comments above indicate the eventual spread will be a smaller Republican majority, 234 to 201. Officially it's more like 233-198.

    Moving forward, consider the Congressional Progressive Caucus' Deal for All as a solution to the lame-duck budget and sequestration crisis. Democrats won, now use that!

      There is a much greater chance of flipping votes with this smaller spread.  Log rolling is easier when you only have to flip sixteen or so votes, rather than 30 to 35.
