  •  Your generation has a huge advantage (0+ / 0-)

    over previous ones: the internet.

Never has it been easier to access the real information on any candidate, thanks to the 24/7 news cycle, and video technology. Candidates literally can't twist their own words or soften them after they were spoken, they can't say they were "misquote"... it's all right there, in context. Their actions and words are scrutinized like never before, with the public being able to get a much better feel for the man inside the suit.

Because of this, I hope and believe the trend is going to be that better candidates do get elected, that people are going to swing more and more liberal, that they will be better informed voters, and that as a country, we will finally be authentically living and embracing and celebrating the strength of our diversity, E pluribus unum.

The young voters give me a lot of hope for the future. Your time has come, and I'm overjoyed to see it. I only wish I was going to live to see what the country looks like 100 years from NOW after the decades roll by (maybe one of you smart whippersnappers could invent something that lets me celebrate my 145th B-day?).
