day when the Great Recession (should have) put the final nail in the coffin of "trickle-down economics". Having watched that opportunity squandered in 2009 and 2010, Chris Hedges and Adbusters and the rest of Occupy stood up to bear witness to the painfully obvious, with the emphasis on pain, to the harsh reality, with the emphasis on harsh.

We still have far to go, as even the upcoming tax increase on the rich is simply a token nod to economic justice. Which is not to say that is not a welcome step in the right direction. It is. And everyone who helped make it happen, to the extent it happens, deserves tremendous gratitude. Losing any ground any the safety nets, however, in some kind of bargain, would, however, IMHO, undercut that step, possibly even reverse it, depending on the impact of the bargain.

I hope our future efforts will include some regular, persistent gatherings on Wall St. and in D.C., in particular. I understand that, at the moment, it is still legal for groups of up to 75 people to parade around the streets of D.C. without a permit... Not sure about NYC. But imagine dozens or even hundreds of small parades routinely milling around D.C...

Also, we have an opportunity to assemble an "Occupy..." in support of every labor dispute out there: e.g., "Occupy Walmart" standing in solidarity with employees on Black Friday.

    Viva la Occupation!

Purging predominantly minority voters and requiring them to present IDs to vote in the face of VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT VOTER FRAUD is RACISM! I hereby declare all consenting Republicans RACISTS until they stand up and object to these practices!
