    strongly.

And I love the part of your argument where you note that it would require them to, you know, actually be there.

    And just for the record:
I think they should give the Senate chamber to the homeless. Hardly anyone is ever there anyway.  A lot of people need a roof over their heads.

I also think that C-SPAN should give us a camera view of the full Senate chamber and the House chamber whenever they are in session.  I'd like a split screen with a view of the cloakroom too in fact.  But the Congressional leaders have shot down that request.  Can't let the people see what's actually going on or figure out that so many members of Congress attend via the flat screen on the wall in their offices (if they even do that).

is why I like the way you think.

I'm sure there are Christians all through the rightist world who would consider it their duty to round up these homeless and bring them to the Capitol.

Someone had the idea that we should end surveillance of all the hundreds of millions of us, and instead devote those resources to tracking lawmakers 24/7. And each one with their own live internet channel.

Can you see it? The NSA or one of the many others publishing a daily transcript of Congressional communications? They could, you know.

If we did that, we'd not only be more Secure as a nation, we'd be Healed of this spreading rot!

in the Beltway media about surveillance is kind of amusing, but not really, because the dumbasses passed all these laws and now we are all screwed.  But the amusing part is that they did not seem to realize that all their stuff would be hoovered up too, along with everyone else's stuff.

It was only going to be used on the terr'ists!! Wait! Wait! What's going on here??!  They can use that stuff against us too?? Unacceptable!

be used selectively, and for political and economic reasons. Guaranteed that's what the surveillance state will produce.

There's so many laws, and the definition of conspiracy (and this is not a theory) has been spread so wide that your basic Quaker grandmother can be made to look like Ma Barker and Benedict Arnold rolled into one. Just pick the right excerpts, hell, splice the right excerpts, from all the records being created and Granny's off to wherever the fuck it is we're torturing people in secret these days. (Still Bagram, I think.)
