    And many Dems as well.

Why did Romney think all those fat cats gave him money?  They wanted the gifts he promised, like lower taxes, less regulation and, probably, freedom from prosecution in some cases.

But the Dems are too complicit in this to make any political capital with it.

According to Roll Call, the Fifty Richest Members of Congress include the following:
      Senate:  9 R's, 12 Dems
      House:  23 R's, 6 Dems

Granted, that's a 32:18 ratio, but it's not like we have completely clean hands. Yes, I believe we have better motives on almost any issue, but plenty of Democrats have never fought those tax-evasion laws.

The wealth listed. If the gop has the top spots it would be good to know. And the gap between them.

Wealthiest is a Republican Rep who seems to have "married well" and now has almost $300M.

Another R Rep is #2, at about $220M.

John Kerry is #3, with almost $200M. As we know, he also "married well" the second time.

After Kerry, everyone else is under $100M.

#50 is Republican Rep, with $6.2M.
