    when we fight back.

    In my working life, I have dealt with greedy, parasitic upper managers plenty, in one industry and another. They're a common breed, whose antics the mass culture glorifies as "success." The ones with any conscience--or with any curiosity, whatsoever, about workers--don't last in their jobs. So the ones left are hardened sociopaths.

    I am delighted to see this issue getting all this coverage in this venue, and am pleased to think that some people directly involved, who maybe never took political activism seriously, are becoming galvanized, and savvy. These days, there's Facebook and Twitter, too.

    Ah, the law of unintended consequences. It's sure a bitch.
