  •  Mowrons (8+ / 0-)

I didn't know anyone even remembered the Mowrons! Actually, my son was the only kid, the other 6 were all adults. Once in a while they would get some other volunteers out - I think Brother Martin had a group one weekend, etc. But mostly, it was this group of 7 - 2 architects, a lawyer, a probation officer, an engineer,  an office manager, and a teenager. Most of them were strangers when they started - all good friends today. You can still see the CBS story in Youtube - search "New Orleans teen is a cut up."

the Faubourg St. John neighborhood site. Crashing Vor and I helped clean one weekend at City Park. We were assigned to outside of Tad Gormley stadium. There is a chain link fence around five feet high in places. I noticed something stuck in the links about three and a half to four feet up. When I got closer, I saw there were tiny fish frames (skeletons). I fortunately saw none of the wild boars.
