Now you know how it feels.  And New Orleans and Mississippi people had it even worse because many had little already.  They're still trying to recover and to return.

When people---any people---are affected by natural events, it doesn't pay for anyone to wax superior or claim that those others have moral or ethical or even racial failings for what happened to them. The same thing could happen to you.  Even New York State and D.C. lie on earthquake faults that have "suddenly" gone active.  This is climate change time.

We also now have a president who takes the lead in showing compassion and who gives a damn to reconstitute FEMA and get the governors and everyone else on board in recovery.

It's really easy to change the channel.  Until you're a part of what's on TV.

Good luck and best wishes on a speedy recovery in your area.  Remember, one day at a time.

And welcome back to the human race.
