...when Mr. Neutron, in his fake deep American accent superhero voice, is wooing the lady who "does", an awful cockney char-woman (as the GOP might call her), played by Terry Jones, Mrs. S-C-U-M.  He tells her he wants to eat enormous quantities of ice cream with her, take her on a trip around the world, whisk her off her feet....and then....

..he turns to her, and in a low volume, in his real british-accented voice, says,
            "You're not Jewish, are you?"

As far as the later episodes go.

I think my fave half-hour of all time is the Bike Tour!!

Oh shit, when he goes to the chinese consulate, and his passenger turns into Cloda Rogers, and when the tomatoes eject themselves from the car...
(A cheese sandwich in a lab has been subjected to repeated pounding with a sledgehammer, and did it survive?  Of course not!)
                "IT WORKS!! IT WORKS!!"

                •  I love the Chinese consulate bit. (0+ / 0-)

Did you ever see the Queen Elizabeth play where everyone talks with a lisp and ride mopeds?

You might like a series Michael Palin did after the Circus called Ripping Yarns. There are only a handful of episodes but they are funny. Check it out on You Tube or your local public library's DVD section.

I also am a fan of Fawlty Towers.  Some moments in that one are incredible, like when he is introducing the Twitchens to the folks in the dining room!! (It also helps to know John Cleese's politics and to hear his cockney rhyming slang on hannity on olbermann's old show)!

(oh man, that chinese consulate scene, tho, with graham chapman trying to pronounce "cornwall".)

My favorite Ripping Yarn has got to be the one about the boring guy who joins a gang.
And on and on about the rainfall, shovels, and black pudding.
