    It's one thing to shove out Mom 'n Pops, another to lose money while trying to take on the likes of Target, Costco, and regional chains like Meijer.

    Wal-Mart is struggling -- and losing money overseas.
    They also blew it online, being slow to embrace digital sales.

    The company is still profitable, but they need to get their act together or they'll slowly slide into irrelevance like one-time giants K-Mart, Sears Roebuck, Circuit City, and Borders.

        just as bad.  I've never heard anything about Wal-Mart that sounded much out of the ordinary for the retail industry other than sheer scale.
