    the NIH is forbidden to purchase any refreshments. Thirty-five people working from 8:30 AM until 6 PM without so much as cup of coffee in the room. This penny-pinching for scientists is crap.

      I just recently heard from someone about the lack of even coffee for informal breaks.

        a $600 honorarium to cover expenses. But I would happily give them $100 of it just to make the meeting more pleasant.
