  •  Exactly! ... Think about it: Straight ~ hello? (0+ / 0-)

Normal is wrong. Regular is wrong. Ordinary is wrong.
Straight is WRONG... my whole point.

    •  I'm not following you (3+ / 0-)

So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the problem lies with me.

"Normal" is not "wrong" or "right" it's "normal"

If you're questioning whether the term "straight" is a misnomer, that might be up for debate. But it's a hell of a lot easier to say than the word "heterosexual."

One syllable as opposed to six.

So, other than the possible offense LGBT members might take at the word "straight," I don't see why you're having an issue with it.

Unless you're having an issue with it on behalf of them. Is that it?

Please help me to stop guessing what your argument/point is.

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

        not "normal".
"Generically, it means relating to an ideal standard or model. In practice, it has strong connotations of relating to a typical standard or model "
Normal implies that LGBTQA folk are "not normal", in some way, deficient.
Normative means that they don't fit a current majority position. And because it's a current model, it can change. Less judgmental baggage.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!
