  •  Here's what I don't get that seems amazingly (7+ / 0-)

    John McCain is complaining that:

    1)  Al Qaeda did something.
    2)  The US intelligence community knew they were involved.
    3)  We did NOT disclose we knew Al Qaeda was involved.
    4)  BECAUSE we were after them - tracking the terrorists.

What's the freaking argument here?  Are Republicans actually arguing that we should Tip Off Al Qaeda when we are onto them?

Isn't that just about the stupidist argument in the world?  I think a lot of people see this.  I think the general public, outside the village, "get" that the Administration has handled everything appropriately.  I think McCain looks like an idiot and there's basically no way out of looking like a continual idiot.

The only problem is that there are people in the village who think this is somehow important.

President Obama should simply come out and accuse McCain of wanting to tip off Al Qaeda while we are hunting them.  Look at the confidential documents already released by the House Republicans.  There's a case to be made.  Easily made.
