  •  I Will Just Say This. My Mom Is 68 (7+ / 0-)

until 2008 she had NEVER voted for a Democratic. Never. She felt Palin, and my mom cusses like once a decade, said:

    Palin is shit all stupid.
I don't know what else to say. She voted for Obama in 2012. My mom is a strong women and she felt Palin was an affront to her. That she made strong women look dumb. That pissed her off.

Oh and she will openly tell you she thinks sex is sex. Kind of fun (yeah, hard to hear from your mom). And often she had it not trying to have a child. So birth control, well just a given.

When opportunity calls pick up the phone and give it directions to your house.

We "moms" are people, too.  We didn't stop having feelings, thoughts and opinions just because our children were growing up.  We are not some strange, alien species, so it shouldn't surprise our children - who we can't wait to become parents, too, so they will understand the view from "our" side - that we enjoy sex or whatever else it may be that embarrasses our offspring.  That said, while I would prefer to never see another reference to any Palin, except the adorable Michael "It's not dead, it's restin!" Palin (read his wonderful novel, "Hemingway's Chair"), if by some strange tilt in The Universe, Sarah Palin actually won the Republican nomination for POTUS (hear me laughing out loud), it would only ensure another four years of a Democrat in the White House.  A caution: Those of us who are old enough will remember that Reagan kept running until, tragically, he was elected, twice.  So, even if some crazy person is nominated, we will still need to GOTV just as earnestly as was done to elect and re-elect President Obama.
