I really LOVE action diaries. We need action, action and more action the next four years. ALL the time!

I hope when people come across issues like this that need attending to, they will write action diaries so we can all help.

...so I called MY senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, and left a message saying she needs to support Jeff Merkley's proposal. That's the one we need to wave the flag for, not just general "filibuster reform" because that's how we'll get something watered-down and useless.

I agree that DiFi may be "acting her age" on this one ("Well, this is the way it's always been done, and we may be in the minority one day, too, so..."). It's a shame, because I gave her a lot more credit for intelligence.

If Feinstein was up for re-election in '14, I'd say she was protecting her flanks from a primary challenge. But since she just WON an election, you'd think she'd start acting like it! And if she's going to be 85 in 2018, she can't be seriously thinking about running in '18, so why play safe?

        •  The way to insure we WILL be the Minority.... (0+ / 0-)

is to let filibuster go unchanged.

Anybody think the Goopers have 'learned their lesson' in the election and will playing nice ?  Not a chance. They are fighting for the ideological lives, and are digging in deeper.
